Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did a Crime Investigators in Bethesda, Maryland. We had four teams today, starting at the hotel meeting room, and visiting crime scenes from the hotel guest rooms, a parking garage down the street, and even our informant in a local café. Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Greenville

This group of banking professionals met in Falls Park in Greenville, South Carolina for our Crime Investigators event.

After they learned about forensics and selected individual roles on their teams, the group left our headquarters to explore the park, visit the crime scenes, and collect evidence. The teams encountered our agents in the field, an informant, and some suspicious characters. When we met back at headquarters, the teams turned in the biological evidence they collected in the field and began piecing together the crime. Teams used time management, problem solving skills, non-linear critical thinking and collaboration to determine the motivation for the crime and the main suspects. Overall, the group found this event engaging, challenging and a great way to build trust and camaraderie amongst their colleagues.

Minute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Little Rock

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had a Minute To Win It in Little Rock, Arkansas. This company meant business. Every year their 11 districts compete head to head for their ultimate district trophy. This year’s reigning champs, the Little Rock Wardogs, were our event’s hosts. Teams competed feverishly in high paced challenges like “Pantyhose Stack Attack” and “Rapid Fire”. They offered team members as tribute in challenges like “Face the Cookie” and “Backflip”, and to wrap up their Minute To Win It, the 11 district managers competed head to head in a fierce game of “Chip Flip”. In the end, their Memphis district took the trophy and we look forward to our next competition with them there next year.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Austin

Hi there, this is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

And I just wanted to let everyone know about our amazing Apprentice Bike Build event. This one was spectacular. We ran it in Austin, Texas, one of my favorite cities to go to and, what really made this event special was the charity involved. We got the Boys and Girls Club to come out, and not only did they send a representative, but they had kids come to this one. It was great timing because this event was in the afternoon, so it was after the kids got out of school, and they were able to bus them over just in time to catch all the team’s presentations. It really added that extra special element to the end of the event. All the participants got to meet the kids, have picture taken with the bikes and with the kids and really just add that give back, full circle community feeling to the end of this event. Besides, all of the participants got to know their co-workers just a little bit better, got to have a fun, creative adventurous afternoon with them and got to meet wonderful kids who received these bikes at the end of the event.

If this is something that your company would enjoy, especially at this time of year, heading into the holidays, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Art Of Giving - Corporate Team Building Activity in Florida

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had a custom Art Of Giving here in Clearwater, Florida. These destination experts wanted to incorporate their conference’s destination in their event, and what’s a better theme than Gasparilla! - The weekend long, pirate themed extravaganza here every spring in Clearwater, Tampa Bay area. Teams were all decked out in their pirate gear and used their own donations, as well as American Outback provided can, boxes and craft supplies, to build themselves a Gasparilla themed sculpture. Sixteen teams out of the 18 teams we had today built some pretty phenomenal pirate ships. One team created a giant treasure chest and one team created an actual pirate. It was a phenomenal way to have some fun with benefits. We were able to donate about $2,500 worth of canned goods to a local food bank.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Washington, DC

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did an Amazing Chase in the country’s capital, Washington, DC. It was a hot one out there, but that didn’t stop our superstars. Teams participated in a particularly challenging course that brought them by the Smithsonian, the Washington Monument, and even the African Art Museum. These driven teams danced the traditional New Zealand dances, climbed and created the ancient Pyramids, and truly bonded and supported one another on their three mile course around the city.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Chicago

Hi, this is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Here to share a little bit of our Apprentice event with you. Most commonly, this is done as a bike build event. It’s one of our most popular events, especially as we head in to the fall and holiday season. Because this is a community building and give back event, this is such a good way to celebrate the end of the year with your team. You build bikes for kids, and then, partnering with a local charity, they come in and accept the bikes at the end of the event. So, the participants have a chance to really focus on giving back to that area and what’s gonna happen to these bikes afterwards. They build them, decorate them, and then of course come up with their innovative commercial to sell these bikes, earning them the most points possible to be crowned the champions. Of course, the real winner of this event is always the charity, especially if they can come in, talk a little bit about where these bikes are going and what they do.

If you like to hear more about our partners and charities that we can help you with this bike build community event, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Boston

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had an Apprentice in Boston, Massachusetts. This return client was a group of scientists in a large Boston company. They were finishing up a long, brain busting project and wanted to kick back and have a little fun to celebrate their success, and what better way to do that than team building! Teams of five created some seriously funky bikes – a Spiderman bike, a Ninja Turtle bike, and my personal favorite, the “Up Up and Away” bike. It was so much fun to watch these scientists use their incredible minds for some fun.

Secret Agent 007 - Corporate Team Building Activity in New York

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did a Secret Agent 007 in the heart of New York City, Times Square. Events in New York City are always a little tricky, but we were able to highlight some pretty well known areas of the city, while facilitating a fun, analytical and engaging event. Teams visited Bryant Park, the New York City Library, and the infamous Knickerbocker hotel. They loved the agent skills tests we had them perform. The martini tasting, the target shooting, it was all a ton of fun. And of course, they were on the edge of their seats as we read off the real answers at the end of the event. This international group had a fantastic, successful 007 here with us in New York City.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in San Francisco

Hi, this is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

And I have just returned from doing our new Amazing Chase in San Francisco. This is a great city to get out and explore, there’s so much to see, do and just have a good time with your co-workers. This group got to visit Chinatown, the famous gate with the lion head, and then they headed down to the waterfront visiting the Embarcadero, Fisherman’s wharf, the Ghirardelli station where they got to do some chocolate sampling. That was an amazing challenge, we brought all the extras to the finish and everyone loved the chocolate. Towards the end of the event, when all the teams made it back, they were able to share stories and experiences and, of course, all the photos and videos were shared around after the event and I’m sure they had a good time looking back at the memories.

If you think that your company would benefit from an exciting adventurous event like this one, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Custom Event - Corporate Team Building Activity in Dallas

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did a Custom Scavenger Hunt on our American Outback app for a local company in Dallas, Texas. This client used our app to create company mission based challenges to enforce their theme and message during a conference. Each challenge introduced teams to each other, to their new training building, and reinforces topics they had already or were going to discuss in meetings. It was a fantastic custom way to use this fantastic technology. Teams had a great time and were actually hooting and hollering in the halls.
