Team Pursuit - Corporate Team Building Activity in Killeen, Texas

Hi, its Tawnya from American Outback Adventures & Events, here with another corporate event update.

Today we had a Team Pursuit for a group of educators in Killeen, Texas. The theme of their meeting was Leadership through Connection, and they were exploring how connecting with, and understanding others, could enhance their leadership abilities and skills. Team Pursuit was the perfect activity for this theme, as it challenges the teams to effectively communicate, strategize, and solve problems. Some of their favourite challenges were “The worst dance off ever”, “Drill sergeant impressions” and “The cha cha slide”. The competition was fun, but fierce, and the scores were close. Overall, a lot of laughter was had, and teams commented they learned a lot, such as identifying team member’s strengths, and completing challenges based on that.

Escape Room: Jewel Heist - Corporate Team Building Activity in Memphis

Hi, This is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events, here to show off our newest event – The Escape Room: Jewel Heist.

For this challenge, teams are put together in a collaborative way. Instead of being against each other, everyone is going to work together to solve all of the clues and riddles presented to them. We do all these in 90 minutes before the jewel thief returns. Win or lose, participants are going to find out a lot about themselves and each other. Their strong suits will be showcased and they really have to rely on each other to solve the puzzles. No one person can do this event, but together, it is possible to find the jewels before the thief returns. This event is great for any sized group in any location. We bring everything straight to you. Just take a look at all of these photos and all of the hard work the participants were going to put in for the big payoff – finding those jewels.

If you think that this is something that your group would be interested in participating, please don’t hesitate to give American Outback a call. Thank you so much!

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Austin

Heather here from American Outback Adventures & Events

We just completed a great philanthropic event – The Apprentice, with a group of highly competitive teams in Austin, Texas. Each team was tasked with building a child’s bicycle and then judged on 3 components – the building function, the creative customization and marketing presentation to sell the bike. These teams really captured the spirit of a child in their presentations, and then donated these bikes to local deserving children through a charity of their choice. Not only did these teams compete for bragging rights and practice some great skills like time management, strategy, and communication, they also worked hard to put a smile on a child’s face.

Secret Agent 007 - Corporate Team Building Activity in Portland

Hey guys! This is James with American Outback Adventures & Events with another event update.

Today we’re in Portland, and of all things, the sun is shining. It’s a rarity for Portland but it happened. So we took advantage of that. We had a group of entrepreneurs that came into the city and they wanted to experience Portland in a way that they might not be able to otherwise. So we took a little bit of team building, a little bit of sightseeing, and we combined it into a program that we call Secret Agent 007. Each team member is gonna be out in the city playing the role of a secret agent trying to take down the infamous, the infernal, the dubious Dr Black. Now, today these guys went out, they brought a lot of excitement and energy into the program. To dig a little bit deeper, we started out with an ice breaker, we had the group tell each other about their names, and then we transitioned from that into the code names that they were going to be using for the program, and then ultimately what their team name was gonna be. Names carry a lot of weight in this program. They headed into the city, they gathered their intel, they made their observations, they completed their tasks, made it back to headquarters, assembled their file reports, but in the end there could be only one. Regardless, they showed up with smiles on their faces, sweat pouring down their face and it was a great day had by all.

Hi, this is Heather with another American Outback Adventures & Events corporate team building update.

Last week, we are in St. Petersburg, Florida at the beautiful Renessaince Vinoy, hosting our charitable bike building activity – TheApprentice, for a local group of HR professionals. The teams competed against each other in this battle of brains, braun, and business, to build and decorate a children’s bicycle. Teams were able to overcome all obstacles placed before them and worked together, but in the end, there could be only one winner of the Apprentice. Hi there! This is Heather from American Outback Adventures & Events here with another corporate team building update.

After spending their whole day working with cadavers, these medical professionals were excited to liven things up with our Team Pursuit. Team Pursuit is the ultimate ice breaker challenge where teams compete against each other to earn points in the smartphone based event. Challenges are themed around 4 categories: mental, physical, skill and mystery, and they’re completed by uploading the videos, photos and text responses in our American Outback app. These teams showed off some amazing leap frogging and untangling human knots. They attempted, and many succeeded, in creating human tables, and they challenged their brain power with riddles, puzzles and other mental challenges. Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Cancun

This is Jordan with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Our latest event was the Crime Investigators experience planned for an HVAC company from the Eastern United States and Canada. American Outback’s Crime Investigators experience separated the group in a specialized crime investigative teams. Within the CI team, individuals took on specific roles to assist the team with the investigation. Each team worked and locate to visit the crime scenes, collect and analyze the evidence, and ultimately solve the crime. We had the pleasure of hosting our CI event at the gorgeous Paradis Resort in Cancun, Mexico. One of the best features about the event was the diverse settings teams were able to experience as they made their way from crime scene to crime scene. From informants at the pool side bar, to a major murder scene on the 9th hole at the golf course, this CI truly had it all and felt like we’re part of the show. The group worked beautifully together, piecing together the evidence, delivered outstanding press releases and ultimately solving the mystery. The suspense continued as we announced the winning team and crowned them with not only bragging rights, but American Outback’s coveted gold medals.
