The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in St. Petersburg

Hi, this is Heather with another American Outback Adventures & Events corporate team building update.

Last week, we are in St. Petersburg, Florida at the beautiful Renessaince Vinoy, hosting our charitable bike building activity – TheApprentice, for a local group of HR professionals. The teams competed against each other in this battle of brains, braun, and business, to build and decorate a children’s bicycle. They were then tasked with creating a marketing campaign for their bike. Teams were able to overcome all obstacles placed before them and worked together, but in the end, there could be only one winner of the Apprentice. A representative and children from local boys and girls club attended the event to receive the bikes and tell us more about the amazing work the charity does for children and communities around the world, and the children were overjoyed to take home their new bikes.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity

Hey everyone, it’s Emma with another American Outback Adventures & Events update.

So I just ran an Apprentice for 16 teams, there were 90 participants and these were creative people. They work in a creative field, even though might be doing marketing and sales, these people all had a lot of energy. Every one of them had great ideas for how to decorate these bikes and come up with really winning, creative advertising campaigns. Because we had so many teams, first we narrowed it down to the top 8, and then those teams presented their commercials and were eligible for the group voting. Of course, everyone’s favorite part of this event is always the charity that gets involved. This group was no different. They worked with a charity that was local, reached out to them and started building a connection to the community. This charity works with families of domestic violence, so they have kids from all walks of life that really could love and benefit from a bike. The group got to learn all about the charity at the event and figured out ways that they could help them in the future. It was a perfect day. Afterwards they could all head out to dinner and talk more about how it had gone for them.

If you think that your company could benefit from an interesting and exciting team building event like this one, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.
