The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Austin

Heather here from American Outback Adventures & Events

We just completed a great philanthropic event – The Apprentice, with a group of highly competitive teams in Austin, Texas. Each team was tasked with building a child’s bicycle and then judged on 3 components – the building function, the creative customization and marketing presentation to sell the bike. These teams really captured the spirit of a child in their presentations, and then donated these bikes to local deserving children through a charity of their choice. Not only did these teams compete for bragging rights and practice some great skills like time management, strategy, and communication, they also worked hard to put a smile on a child’s face.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Austin

Hi there, this is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

And I just wanted to let everyone know about our amazing Apprentice Bike Build event. This one was spectacular. We ran it in Austin, Texas, one of my favorite cities to go to and, what really made this event special was the charity involved. We got the Boys and Girls Club to come out, and not only did they send a representative, but they had kids come to this one. It was great timing because this event was in the afternoon, so it was after the kids got out of school, and they were able to bus them over just in time to catch all the team’s presentations. It really added that extra special element to the end of the event. All the participants got to meet the kids, have picture taken with the bikes and with the kids and really just add that give back, full circle community feeling to the end of this event. Besides, all of the participants got to know their co-workers just a little bit better, got to have a fun, creative adventurous afternoon with them and got to meet wonderful kids who received these bikes at the end of the event.

If this is something that your company would enjoy, especially at this time of year, heading into the holidays, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

The Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Austin

Hey everyone! It’s Michelle with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We just completed an Apprentice Bike Build activity in Austin, Texas for a group of engineers. They had a fantastic time, they got to build 4 children’s bicycles that we donated to the Boys and Girls club of greater Austin. They’re a mixture of boys and girls bikes for about 6 – 8 years old and they had a great time theming the bikes, coming up with props and accessories for the bikes, and presentations to describe what customized features their bikes had. They’re a group of mostly men and had never done anything like this before and they all worked together and did a fantastic job.
