Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update
from American Outback Adventures & Events.
Today we had a 300 person Custom event for a loud and fun
group down in Ashville, North Carolina. Today’s event started by breaking this
sizable group up into teams of 10, with roughly 30 teams, we then split the
teams into two sub groups – 15 red and 15 blue. Over the first hour of the event,
teams competed against other teams in their color group to play mini games with
everyday items to earn points for their team. It was hot in that room but also
very loud with laughter. After the games wrapped up, the massive people moved
into a second event space. Here, we combined one red and one blue team, and their
budgets to create a group of 20. Teams then worked together to use pre-provided
items, craft supplies, and a few creative guidelines to create a free standing
structure out of donate-able items. They used their budget from the first part
of the event to purchase items from our American Outback pantry to create art
sculptures made completely out of foods, toothpaste, soap and other food bank
necessities. At the conclusion of the event, all of these items were donated to
a local food bank. That was two vans filled with donate-able items. Overall,
today’s custom event was a fun, energetic, and creative way for this team to
engage their employees, break away from their meetings for a bit, and give back
to their community.
