Escape Room: Jewel Heist - Corporate Team Building Activity in Memphis

Hi, This is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events, here to show off our newest event – The Escape Room: Jewel Heist.

For this challenge, teams are put together in a collaborative way. Instead of being against each other, everyone is going to work together to solve all of the clues and riddles presented to them. We do all these in 90 minutes before the jewel thief returns. Win or lose, participants are going to find out a lot about themselves and each other. Their strong suits will be showcased and they really have to rely on each other to solve the puzzles. No one person can do this event, but together, it is possible to find the jewels before the thief returns. This event is great for any sized group in any location. We bring everything straight to you. Just take a look at all of these photos and all of the hard work the participants were going to put in for the big payoff – finding those jewels.

If you think that this is something that your group would be interested in participating, please don’t hesitate to give American Outback a call. Thank you so much!

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Fort Worth

Hi, this is Heather from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today, we are in Fort Worth, Texas, racing through down town in The Amazing Chase. These banking professionals were faced with road blocks and detours at some of Fort Worth’s most notable places. They stopped by the Sid Richardson museum where they were challenged in a road block that required a steady eye and even steadier brain. They got physical and made new friends at the water gardens, and they tested their powers of persuasion in market square. When the race ended at Frankie’s bar, food and drinks were waiting for the energized teams.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Delray Beach

On early December, we hosted our Amazing Chase for a sales team from a national tire company in Delray Beach, Florida.

The weather was sunny, warm and beautiful. It was the perfect day for a chase. The 11 teams raced throughout Delray beach, solving clues, and using GPS to navigate stops along the route. Then, they completed roadblocks and detour challenges. The challenges tested the team’s mental and physical strengths, their adaptability, and their ability to work together as a cohesive unit. In this game of speed and accuracy, it was a battle for first and second place. Ultimately, the winners were the team who completed the most challenges correctly in the best time.

The Apprentice / Minute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Orange County

This is James from American Outback Adventures with another event update.

Today we are in beautiful, sunny southern California at the St. Regis hotel, the 5 star resort down here. We’ve been contracted by a biotech company to provide a full day of team building. Now, in the morning they chose our Apprentice program which is a beautiful, wonderful program. It involves creativity, planning, group problem solving, but ultimately, the end goal is that each team gets to put together a bike, and that bike gets to be donated to a child here in Orange County, or if we did it in your town, it would be donated to a child in your area. So it’s a great way to support the community, it’s a great way to explore team concepts with your team. Our charity came in, explained to the group the impact that that bike was gonna make on the demographic that they serve, and it was a touching moment, lots of heartfelt high fives, hugs, and the team definitely, definitely got a sense of what their donation was gonna do.

Now in the afternoon, after we broke for lunch, the team opted for something a little bit, I’m gonna go goofier, silly-er. These guys chose our Minute to Win It program, and let me tell you folks, the Minute to Win It program is the perfect way to just relax and let loose for an afternoon of fun team activities. If you have ever seen the TV show, you know you compete in a series of 1 minute seemingly simple challenges but you compete as an individual. With our version, we’ve taken those seemingly simple challenges and created team activities out of each one. So if your team is the team that completes the most challenges with the most number of points, you’re gonna win the Minute to Win It challenge. We had a winner today, it was a great time. Everybody left with smiles, lots of laughter.

Mission To The Moon - Corporate Team Building Activity in Columbus

Hi, this is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

We have a great event that kind of fits in to the theme of space exploration, which is just so popular right now with missions to Mars. This one is called Mission to the Moon. In this one, teams are going to be tasked with building a rocket. They’re also gonna have precious cargo - an egg. This egg, after launching, must still be intact to earn them extra points. Once they designed their rockets, get materials, and build and decorate their rockets, will head out to a park to launch them. They get to launch and would not believe how high these rockets go. This is, of course, the highlight of the event. Everyone gets to test it out, see how their design goes, and calculate the trajectory and altitude. Of course, they go run over and check to see if their precious cargo has cracked. This is a great event that can be done in any location.

If you think your team would have fun with this creative and intellectual event, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Minute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Chicago

Hi! This is Emma with American Outback Adventures and Events, here to talk a little about Chicago.

This is one of our major city, there’s so many trade shows and conventions and big business here, this one, who’s done at a huge convention center at the McCormick Place Hyatt. There was a lot of different things going on and events, but this was just one group that decided to throw a team building event during three day of conference. We came in and run our MinuteTo Win It, set everything up quickly so they could get straight to the fun. We did round robin games, competing relay style against head to head teammates. The game seem simple but once they get going, teams find out they’re a little more complicated than they originally thought. Communication is key here, also being able to adjust quickly and come up with new plans.

If you think your company, employees or co-worker would benefit from an exciting event like this, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Iron Chef - Corporate Team Building Activity in Aptos

Hi there, this Emma from American Outback Adventures and Events.

I just wanted to take a moment to share a recent event we had in California. Beautiful sunny weather was perfect for this outdoor event. This is one of our great Iron Chef competitions. Not only do teams get to collaborate and be creative, but they have to come up with their menu plan with the secret ingredient. Teams never know what this ingredient could be, and it’s got to be included in their appetizer, entree, dessert, and beverage. They’ve got to really work against the time, work together, and come up with what they’re gonna present the judges. It is going to be creative, delicious and inspiring. At the end of this event,  everyone is full and happy.

If you think that your company would enjoy one of these outdoor barbecue events, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did an Amazing Chase in Syracuse, New York. This highly competitive team showed up ready to run, literally. Between their last board meeting and our team building event, every participant went back to their rooms to pack up the ties and high heels and sport their runners and sweat pants. They were ready to rock. Teams visited some fun, historic locations in Syracuse, like a home once known for its involvement in the Underground Railroad, an American art museum, and at the end, of course, the world famous dinosaur barbecue. This group aced their race today, coming in some of the quickest times this coordinator has ever seen.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Washington, DC

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did an Amazing Chase in the country’s capital, Washington, DC. It was a hot one out there, but that didn’t stop our superstars. Teams participated in a particularly challenging course that brought them by the Smithsonian, the Washington Monument, and even the African Art Museum. Custom Event - Corporate Team Building Activity in Dallas

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did a Custom Scavenger Hunt on our American Outback app for a local company in Dallas, Texas. This client used our app to create company mission based challenges to enforce their theme and message during a conference. Each challenge introduced teams to each other, to their new training building, and reinforces topics they had already or were going to discuss in meetings. It was a fantastic custom way to use this fantastic technology. Teams had a great time and were actually hooting and hollering in the halls.

GPS Geocache - Corporate Team Building Activity in Seattle

Hi, this is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

I wanted to share with you a GPS Scavenger Hunt that was done in Bellevue, which is just outside Seattle and have a lot of interesting views and challenges. This is like a modern day scavenger hunt, so teams have a handheld GPS unit, and they go to different way points and when they find a bag or a box, then they complete a challenge to earn points. Teams had a great time. Not only does this one combine navigational, technology skills, but you get to have fun challenges, some are creative, some are logical, some are analytical, it really just puts everyone to the test and you learn a lot about your co-workers. In the end, everyone met up for a great lunch and the weather cooperated the whole time. This was a great event.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Boston

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had an Amazing Chase in Boston. It was a beautiful day for a race around the city as teams travelled to New Zealand, known by locals as Frog Pond, to re-enact the infamous “Haka” dance. Then off to England, also known as the Boston Tea Party Museum, and then, even Ireland, which is basically all of Boston. Teams were driven and very competitive today. They were all in it to win it – it was a close race. But there can be only one Amazing Chase champion, and these chasers found out who was theirs at the Hard Rock Café in Faneuil Hall. It was a fantastic Amazing Chase here today in Boston.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Boston

Hi everyone, this is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

And I wanted to let you all know about our new Boston Amazing Chase course. This is a newly created course that highlights some of the city’s great sites. They get to see the frog pond, the swan boats, and some other downtown attractions. Not only is this course new and exciting, it really challenges participants to get creative and think of how to do new things, think outside the box and get things done. They have to figure out logistics, their time management, their resource management and they really get to rely on their teammates in order to make it back to the finish, beat all the other teams and earn the most points in the shortest amount of time. Since this was the first time running this course with this client, there were no challenges, the teams made it through smoothly and felt challenged the entire time.

If you think that your company would love to experience the Amazing Chase course in Boston or in any other city, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’re here and happy to help you create your perfect event.

Iron Chef - Corporate Team Building Activity in Milwaukee

Hey everyone, it’s Michelle with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We have just finished an Iron Chef Barbecue Challenge in a park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We had 6 teams from a law office, all competing head to head with the criteria of creating an appetizer, a main course, a beverage and a dessert, all using our secret ingredient, which for our event that we just finished was pineapple. So they grilled up some amazing concoctions and were very creative with their presentation and their flavoring. They were given the same items across the board, but then also given the option of using our pantry table, which included a variety of herbs and spices, vinegar and that sort of thing. Like I said, that their presentations and their creativity as a whole, were fantastic, they were great, encouraging group and had a variety of skill levels from barbecue griller master to “never-seen-a-grill-before-in-their-life”, so it was a great experience and everyone had a really great time, had some custom team outfit created for some of the teams that arrived, so their team spirit was up from the moment they got there and they laughed a loving, loving experience.

Minute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Austin

Hi there, this is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

I just wanted to take a moment to share with you my latest adventure with Minute To Win It. In this challenge, the teams competed head to head in over 12 different Minute To Win It style challenges. The room was decked to the nines, we had great music during each challenge, a projected buzzer the participants could watch and interact with and, as a bonus, in between the challenges we would toss around the mic and hear how the competition was going, what their favorite parts were, how their strategies were working out and a little bit about what they thought they could do better in their teams. So, it was a great learning experience as the event went on. They got better and better, earned more and more points, and of course at the end, we crowned the Minute To Win It champions. This event was great for breaking down the barriers, this team had a lot of fun together and I know that moving forward, they’re going to be comfortable talking to each other about anything.

GPS Geocache - Corporate Team Building Activity in St Louis

Hi! This is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

And I’m here to talk about and share our wonderful GPS Geocache scavenger hunt. This one, not only test people physically, but mentally. It puts the teams under pressure to solve puzzles, use technology, get creative, time management, resource management, it’s all in there. This event is well rounded and a lot of fun. It can be done in any location, rural, cities, it’s great; any sized team. This group had a lot of fun, they got to check out the sites of St. Louis, check out all of the ballpark village, it was great, there was gonna be a game later that evening. Once they found all of the challenges, they came back, met me for a closing at a local bar. Minute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in San Francisco

Hey everyone, it’s Michelle with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We have just finished a Minute to Win It program for a group of nurses from a nursing union across the US, Canada and Europe. This is the second of 2 events back to back we did with this specific group. The day before we did a CI program and the second day we did a Minute to Win It. The group had a fantastic time, we had 6 teams of about 8 on a team. They competed head to head in a series of challenges, testing their cerebral and physical limits. We had a variety of challenges as mentioned. The group had a fantastic time, they were all a loud bunch, very energetic and encouraging, they had a fantastic time. The couldn’t stop talking about how much fun it was and that they never did anything quite like this, so there was no hesitation from the group leader that they be using us again in the future, so great news and a great event all around.

Corporate Castaways - Corporate Team Building Activity in Bellingham

Hi! This is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Just reporting back from another successful summer Corporate Castaways, summer time is the perfect time to run this event. It’s outdoors, can be done in a lot of locations, it’s physical, mental, exciting and always a challenge for any team. This one really puts communication, leadership skills, and of course, creativity to the test. Teams have to work together in all sorts of different situations, and what I really like about this group is they realized they had to figure out who their strong players were in each challenge and it was always different. So people had different things to contribute throughout the day and they really got the chance to learn about their co-workers and learn how to rely on them, ask them questions and get great performance out of each person. As you can see from all the photos, they had a blast. It was a beautiful setting and a lot of fun.

If you think that this is something your company and employees would enjoy, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’re here and ready to create that perfect event for you.
