Iron Chef - Corporate Team Building Activity in Aptos

Hi there, this Emma from American Outback Adventures and Events.

I just wanted to take a moment to share a recent event we had in California. Beautiful sunny weather was perfect for this outdoor event. This is one of our great Iron Chef competitions. Not only do teams get to collaborate and be creative, but they have to come up with their menu plan with the secret ingredient. Teams never know what this ingredient could be, and it’s got to be included in their appetizer, entree, dessert, and beverage. They’ve got to really work against the time, work together, and come up with what they’re gonna present the judges. It is going to be creative, delicious and inspiring. At the end of this event,  everyone is full and happy.

If you think that your company would enjoy one of these outdoor barbecue events, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Iron Chef - Corporate Team Building Activity in Milwaukee

Hey everyone, it’s Michelle with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We have just finished an Iron Chef Barbecue Challenge in a park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We had 6 teams from a law office, all competing head to head with the criteria of creating an appetizer, a main course, a beverage and a dessert, all using our secret ingredient, which for our event that we just finished was pineapple. So they grilled up some amazing concoctions and were very creative with their presentation and their flavoring. They were given the same items across the board, but then also given the option of using our pantry table, which included a variety of herbs and spices, vinegar and that sort of thing. Like I said, that their presentations and their creativity as a whole, were fantastic, they were great, encouraging group and had a variety of skill levels from barbecue griller master to “never-seen-a-grill-before-in-their-life”, so it was a great experience and everyone had a really great time, had some custom team outfit created for some of the teams that arrived, so their team spirit was up from the moment they got there and they laughed a loving, loving experience.

Iron Chef - Corporate Team Building Activity in Hopkinsville

Hey everyone, it’s Michelle with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We have just finished Iron Chef for a group of steel workers in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. We completed the activity outside, it was a nice day, a little chilly, it was only about 50 degrees out but they powered through and had a great time grilling all sorts of creations. We had beef as our main protein so we had some good steaks and some creative desserts that came out of the group. They had a great time, like I said, outside at their warehouse, and the activity itself went off great. They had a, like I said, a fantastic time and really creative with their food items and their drinks and I saw some things that I have never seen on events before so I was pleasantly surprised by the creativity from the group.

We had just finished an Iron Chef in lovely Raleigh, North Carolina for a group of IT solutions workers from all over the world, so it was a really good event to get everybody together on a nice sunny day outside Raleigh, cooking up some delicious food and came up with some amazing creations and things that I’ve never even seen before. They all really enjoyed it and had a fantastic time. I saw, like I said, things that I’ve never even seen on an event before. They were extremely creative and really thought outside the box and brought flavours from all over the world to the table.

Iron Chef Challenge Corporate Team Building Activity in Napa Valley

Hi everyone! It’s Emma with another American Outback Adventures & Events update.

What could be better than spending a day at Napa at a beautiful golf resort? How about having super energized teams cooking up a culinary masterpiece for you? Our Iron Chef event is chock-full of delicious moments. I love how the teams get creative with the ingredients, their plating ideas, and of course, they have over the top sales pitches when they delivered their finished items. Being in Napa for this one, I decided to make the secret ingredient grapes. So the appetizer, main course, beverage and dessert all had to have at least some grape aspect. While the judges did score all the teams a little bit differently, there was no denying who the winning team was. We ate their entire entrée, it was so good! Everyone had such a great time and they were treated to their own barbecue dinner afterwards at the resort.

If you and your company could benefit from an exciting team building event like this, please don’t hesitate to call American Outback salesteam. We are ready to help you create the perfect event.

Corporate Castaways / Iron Chef - Corporate Team Building Activity in Seattle

Hi, this is Jill with another corporate event update.

It is July 24th and we’re here in Seattle and we have just completed a double event, back to back event, for a local tech company. They completed a Corporate Castaways event for us in the morning and an Iron Chef event for us in the afternoon. It was just a phenomenal day’s worth of activities for this group. Unfortunately, the rain didn’t really cooperate with us, but it all added to the Outback Survivor-esque theme that we had going throughout the day. In the morning, the Corporate Castaways showed a lot of team communication and some great competitive spirit between all of the different participants. I think the highlight was the jumbled search challenge, where teams have to go off and search for different clues in the woods. They really love being able to just get out and stretch their legs and hunt for the different clues. And then in the afternoon, this is where these guys really shined. There was a lot of different participants from different cultural backgrounds, places from Cameroon, Dubai, all over the world. It was really great to see all of those different nationalities have different influences on the cuisine that they created. They got really creative with the different ideas and, sort of, meals that they presented to us, which was really awesome to see them taking it to the next level, and also communicating in a group to have that different influence come out from each of the different cultures to create some really wow factor items to present to the judges. Overall this group had a fantastic time, they really enjoyed themselves, loved being able to get outside, have some communication with their colleagues and more fun environment. They have been in meetings really up to that point for the past 3 days, so getting something and different out there, to be able to get to know their co-workers who work across the globe together in a bit of a different environment, they loved that, and the client was really happy with the event.

And if you want to plan an awesome corporate event with us, please contact my sales team and they’ll be happy to help.
