The Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Atlanta

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had a 50 person Apprentice in Atlanta, Georgia. This international, multi-million dollar company meets twice a year in various cities to reconnect and foster personal connections within their teams. Today we hosted the sales and operations team for our Apprentice. Prior to the event beginning, a 30 minute presentation from the VP of Community Outreach from the Boys and Girls Club of America spoke about the fantastic work they do in the community and the change they make in children’s lives. Then, the recipient of the annual Boys and Girls club of America Outstanding Youth Awards spoke about her experience with the club. It was a great and very touching way to start the event. These teams were ready to go, and I had barely finished the instructions before they were ripping open the bike boxes to begin building. Today’s apprentice was a shorter one, in total lasting around 2 hours, but we had still had 8 teams present their marketing campaigns, including an appearance by Taylor Swift, a human bicycle and even some original songs. Overall, it was a fantastic Apprentice here in Atlanta today.

Cake Creators Corporate Team Building Activity in San Diego

Hey everybody, it’s Michelle with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate update for you.

We have finished our Cake Creators program in beautiful, sunny San Diego. The group themselves were software company, mostly admin and sales reps, as part of a quarterly retreat that they hold. There was about 32 people in total. The program, we were decorating cakes, they had a couple of criteria to follow: they needed to have their company logo, they need to have text in a certain color and they needed to create flowers somewhere on their cake. So they were tasked with a variety of different criteria in order to accomplish their mission and ultimately win the activity. They had a fantastic time, it was an evening event so we did have food and appetizers being passed around while they were decorating, in addition to, of course, alcohol. Their cakes did come out quite entertaining and they all laughed having had a great time with nothing but good things to say about it.

Cake Creators Corporate Team Building Activity in Batesville

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had a Cake Creators in Batesville, Indiana, which is right between Indianapolis and Cincinnati. It was a snowy, windy day outside as we all met inside of a farm house to participate in today’s events. It was a small group, only 4 teams overall and roughly 20 participants. Teams were provided with their own white sheet cake, a blank canvass if you will, and multiple tools and utensils to create their masterpieces. Today was a first for me, in all of my Cake Creators near and far, I have never had cakes themed like today. Teams truly embraced their work culture to celebrate National Pressure Ulcer day awareness by creating their cakes in a way to, well, raise awareness. It was a fun afternoon, bundled with creating edible masterpieces in Indiana.

Secret Agent 007 Corporate Team Building Activity in New York

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had a custom Secret Agent 007 in Manhattan, New York city. Our client was a legal firm who we have worked with in the past. They bought out a local restaurant for the night to have a social night with their partners and associates. The night was optional, so all the guest list was expected to be about 65 people, we were not certain how many participants would actually be there before the event. We ended up with about 45 participants. This event was definitely custom to this group. The client wanted the 007 theme and activities but needed the event to entirely take place in 60 minutes and have teams of 6 to 8 people. What we did to accommodate the client tonight was that we picked out four 007 activities, target shooting, map reading, code breaking and Martini tasting. Each agent skills test had its own station and host to run it. Every station would have 2 teams at it at any given time and each set of teams would have 10 minutes at each station. Teams carried a passport with them for authorizing agents to mark if they had passed or failed that particular task. If they pass the test, they received evidence pertaining to a case under current investigation by our organization. After every team had taken their turn at each of the 4 stations, we handed out a final report for each team to fill out with the best of their abilities, analyzing the evidence they had collected. Well some of the stations had teams scratching their heads and even struggling, this group of analytics loved the challenge - another huge success for American Outback Adventures & Events.

The Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in San Diego

Hey everyone, it’s Emma with another American Outback Adventures & Events update.

Another wonderful trip and event in sunny, warm San Diego, this time, it was in the La Jolla area at a great hotel. The company was having a manager retreat for the week and the Apprentice Bike Build event was the first chance for these employees to meet face to face. I can tell they were really excited to put faces to names of their co-workers from all around the US. We started a little untraditionally for our events with some introductions and fun “get to know you games”. This got things going with a lot of laughs and some interesting new knowledge that they gained. Then we moved on to the main event – building the bikes for the YMCA military families. It was a great organization to motivate the teams to work hard, communicate, and set some high creative goals for themselves. In the end, everyone succeeded in having a great time learning more about their co-workers and getting the chance to relax and do something new and different with each other.
