Hey everyone, it’s Emma with another American Outback
Adventures & Events update.
Another wonderful trip and event in sunny, warm San Diego,
this time, it was in the La Jolla area at a great hotel. The company was having
a manager retreat for the week and the
Apprentice Bike Build event was the
first chance for these employees to meet face to face. I can tell they were
really excited to put faces to names of their co-workers from all around the
US. We started a little untraditionally for our events with some introductions
and fun “get to know you games”. This got things going with a lot of laughs and
some interesting new knowledge that they gained. Then we moved on to the main
event – building the bikes for the YMCA military families. It was a great
organization to motivate the teams to work hard, communicate, and set some high
creative goals for themselves. In the end, everyone succeeded in having a great
time learning more about their co-workers and getting the chance to relax and
do something new and different with each other.
