The Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Raleigh

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had an Apprentice in Raleigh, North Carolina. There were over 100 people participating in today’s apprentice - all managers from this insurance company’s local office. In the past, this company had done an annual meeting with managers from all over the country, and this year, they decided to centralize and only meet with managers from their own cores. This was their very first team building experience. We had a custom shortened timeline, but that did not stop teams from giving it their all. Judges heard elevator pitches from all sorts of angles – from a duck dynasty bike to an insurance inspiration bike, a Pokemon bike, a lucky Irish bike and many, many others. There were so many great bikes, in fact, that the judges couldn’t just choose a top 5. They had to choose the top 6 bikes to present their marketing campaigns to the entire group, and the 8 children that had attended from the client’s chosen charity. In the end, it was the group that created their own new super hero that won the coveted title of the Apprentice. It was a great Apprentice here today in Raleigh, great team work, lots of laughs and some very happy kids riding away on their own brand new bicycles.

Minute to Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Seattle

Hi again everyone! This is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

I’m here to tell you a little bit about an event I just ran in Seattle. This event was our Minute to Win It event and it also had a custom element at the end of the event of a Lego challenge, which I’ll get to in just a minute. The first part of the event entail our Minute to Win It challenges. These challenges were run one of two ways: either it is group all-in challenges, where the entire team in the room was participating at the same time in the same challenge to earn points, or, the team had to send up pairs and they had to figure out who in their team was best suited to win the points for that challenge. As you can see from the photos, we had a lot of great challenges. Some of the highlights involved stacking snack cakes on each other, that one’s called Chocolate Unicorn. Another great challenge that the teams really loved was Balloon Racing, this one involves a lot of skills, communication and moving quickly. One that they really enjoyed and discovered some co-worker talents was the “Johnny Apple stack”. They tried to stack apples on top of each other. There was one man in particular in the group who is amazing at this. Everyone really had a good time cheering him on. All in all, they loved the Minute to Win It events, they had a great as you can tell from the photos. All the challenges led to earning points so that they could get their Legos, and since they were in Seattle, all the teams had to build their interpretation of the Seattle Space Needle. Everyone’s came out a little bit differently. There was some group voting before the winning Space Needle was selected and medals were awarded. The team had a great time getting to know each other, having a lot of fun, learning about each other, working together and ultimately, just having a great experience in Seattle.

Amazing Chase Corporate Team Building Activity in Las Vegas

Hi everyone! This is an update from Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

I just got back from doing an Amazing Chase in Las Vegas. This was a really fun event because all of the challenges take place in locations on the Vegas strip, so the teams get to get outside and see a lot of sites. They started off by going to Treasure Island outside the pirate ship and creating their own custom artwork. They also got to go to the Cosmopolitan hotel and view a Rhinestone studded Liberace car. They moved on to the New York New York hotel where outside of the Statue of Liberty they got strangers to sing Frank Sinatra’s New York New York with them while doing a can-can dance. This group had a lot of fun performing, helping others, completing their challenges, getting really competitive, racing back to the finish, all to determine who would be the top placing team.

Crime Investigators Corporate Team Building Activity in Houston

Hey everyone, it’s Michelle with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate update.

We have just finished our Crime Investigators event in downtown Houston at one of the well known hotels in downtown. The group was an admin team from an oil company with a mixture of ages, abilities and seniority with the company. They had a great time. They were probably a little hesitant at first to get into it but by the end of it they were showing all kinds of signs of improvement and communication, and they were smiling, they had a great time. They were much closer, visually as a team, than when we first got them in the room. Even seeing them with immediate improvement, I thought they had a great time, they were really well organized and they work together to solve our crime and determine who our villain is. It was a very good event, they had a, like I said, a fantastic time.

Minute to Win It Corporate Team Building Activity in Salt Lake City

Hi this is Jill with another corporate event update.

It’s November 21^st and we’re here in beautiful Salt Lake City, and we’ve just completed a fantastic Minute to Win It teambuilding event for a local law firm group. They were completing a series of meetings throughout the day and we were the final activity and hoorah for them after a long day’s worth of meetings. The client was really excited to kick off the evening with something fun and exciting for their group and this really fit the bill for both of their participant level and for what their goals for the evening were. The group went headlong into the challenges and really loved every aspect of the Minute to Win It event. The highlight was the final challenge where teams headed off against each other and, like, very competitive final challenge, and I think everyone enjoyed this event, including myself and my team. The client was really happy with how everything turned out and how much energy came out of the event from all of her colleagues. They were really looking forward to hopefully doing something similar in the future and we are very excited to do that with them as well.
