Corporate Castaways Corporate Team Building Activity in Cambridge

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had a Corporate Castaways in beautiful, sunny Cambridge, Massachusetts. For today’s event we vetted nearly a dozen various parks in Cambridge. We wanted to be within walking distance of our client but still have a park that would be appropriate for the various challenges a Corporate Castaways entails, and we hit the jackpot with Gold Star Mother’s Park. This park had grass, hills, trees and even a baseball diamond, various terrains for diversity of challenges. The big hit today were Blind Leading the Blind, Mind Scramble, and True or False. This team of 80 people flexed their communication skills to truly excel in these missions. Overall, it was a beautiful and fun morning in Cambridge.

Amazing Chase Corporate Team Building Activity in Philadelphia

Hi there everyone! It’s Emma here with another American Outback Adventures & Events update.

I want to share a great event with you, it’s our AmazingChase. It’s a customized race and scavenger hunt, and this September I ran one in Philly for a group of high energy professionals. Some of their favourite challenges were creating their own flag outside of the Betsy Ross House where the original American flag hangs or visiting the Liberty Bell to come up with their own team jingles. This was a great city for the teams to get out and explore, plus, the finish line was at National Mechanics Bar and Restaurant, teams were really motivated to finish the course in record time to get there and have some of their delicious food.

The Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Boston

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had The Apprentice in Boston, Massachusetts. Today’s group was a bunch of computer savvy introverts that took over their campus’ cafeteria for a few hours of out of their comfort team building. Each team got a children’s bicycle that they needed to build, customize with decorations and create an innovative marketing campaign for.

This team took a little warming up at first but all had completely unique presentations of their own. Bikes were donated to the boys and girls club of Boston and a representative from the organization was able to come out and talk to the group about the great things that they do in the community and what was next for the bikes.

The client was very happy with how the event brought their team out of their shells and got everyone mingling with people they don’t necessarily interact with on a day to day basis. It was a great successful Apprentice here in Boston today.

Amazing Chase Corporate Team Building Activity in New Jersey

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had an Amazing Chase in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. There’s a large park in Cherry Hill called Cooper Mill Park. It is 4 miles around with walking trails, soft ball fields, memorials, yacht clubs and other attractions. Our client decided to add a team building aspect to their annual sales rep conference and that this park placed was the place to hold it. Typically our Amazing Chases are on urban areas with multiple routes available to take from one station to the next. This park provided a round, singular trail from one station to the next. To compensate for the time not being used to figure out how to get to the next location, we added longer challenges at the stations and several road blocks that were provided during the beginning of chase, but not due until the end. This was an energetic, very enthusiastic group of sales reps, all in from all over the country and they loved their Amazing Chase.

Iron Chef Corporate Team Building Activity in Raleigh

Hey everyone, it’s Michelle with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We had just finished an Iron Chef in lovely Raleigh, North Carolina for a group of IT solutions workers from all over the world, so it was a really good event to get everybody together on a nice sunny day outside Raleigh, cooking up some delicious food and came up with some amazing creations and things that I’ve never even seen before. They all really enjoyed it and had a fantastic time. I saw, like I said, things that I’ve never even seen on an event before. They were extremely creative and really thought outside the box and brought flavours from all over the world to the table.

The Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Austin

Hey everyone! It’s Michelle with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We just completed an Apprentice Bike Build activity in Austin, Texas for a group of engineers. They had a fantastic time, they got to build 4 children’s bicycles that we donated to the Boys and Girls club of greater Austin. They’re a mixture of boys and girls bikes for about 6 – 8 years old and they had a great time theming the bikes, coming up with props and accessories for the bikes, and presentations to describe what customized features their bikes had. They’re a group of mostly men and had never done anything like this before and they all worked together and did a fantastic job.

Iron Chef Challenge Corporate Team Building Activity in Napa Valley

Hi everyone! It’s Emma with another American Outback Adventures & Events update.

What could be better than spending a day at Napa at a beautiful golf resort? How about having super energized teams cooking up a culinary masterpiece for you? Our Iron Chef event is chock-full of delicious moments. I love how the teams get creative with the ingredients, their plating ideas, and of course, they have over the top sales pitches when they delivered their finished items. Being in Napa for this one, I decided to make the secret ingredient grapes. So the appetizer, main course, beverage and dessert all had to have at least some grape aspect. While the judges did score all the teams a little bit differently, there was no denying who the winning team was. We ate their entire entrée, it was so good! Everyone had such a great time and they were treated to their own barbecue dinner afterwards at the resort.
