Cake Creators Corporate Team Building Activity in Charlotte

Hi everyone! It’s Michelle with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We have just finished a Cake Creators event in Charlotte, North Carolina for approximately 30 health care professionals. Our group today was mostly women who were able to use the skills they already had along with the skills that I trained them on, how to decorate and embellish cakes using professional materials. The group had a fantastic time, the cakes were then donated to a local food organization and food shelter for those in need in the Charlotte area. The group had a fantastic time as I mentioned, they learned skills that they could take away with them at the end of the event, which they said they were very happy about. They get to learn a little bit more about each other than they would in a normal office setting.

Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Lake Union

Hey everyone! It’s Emma here with another American Outback Adventures and Events update.

Finally have the weather on our side here in Seattle for an outdoor event. This bike build Apprentice took place in a café on Lake Union we had beautiful views of the boats all day long. Teams completed three challenges to earn supplies and buying power at the apprentice store. They really took their time to create amazing one of a kind bikes. They knew these special bikes were being given to deserving young children through child haven organization. But what impressed me the most of this event was their advertising campaigns at the end. So creative and unexpected! One team had a wrapper, another had capes and costumes and yet another handed out brochures they made to all the judges. All in all, a great day in Seattle.

The Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Boston

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures and Events.

Today we had an Apprentice in Billerica, Massachusetts which is about 45 minutes West of Boston. Our apprentice today was held inside the client’s office. Our client was having a two day conference for future leader hopefuls with meetings and workshops on leadership skills. Every team developed a completely different theme and marketing campaign from every other team. Their marketing campaigns were as equally varied as well. Some tugging at the heartstrings while others displayed action packed commercials targeted towards kids. Three representatives from the client’s charity of choice, The Veterans Family Association, came to observe and acted as our three judges for the bikes. It was a fantastic way to include and introduce the representatives in the event. Over all, a great apprentice tonight with American Outback Adventures and Events.

Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in New Hampshire

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures and Events.

Today we had an Apprentice event in Nashua, New Hampshire. Our client today is going through some serious changes into their organization that they want to incorporate into their event. Their on the floor workers where adjusting to substantial growing safety inspections on their products. The participants in the meeting where their managers most of whom have been in their positions for less than a year each. Our client really wanted to create a similar atmosphere for their managers that the workers where undergoing. They really wanted the event to focus on change management. To accommodate our client’s custom needs, we added a few extra changes and curve balls throughout the event that made teams re-evaluate their strategies and truly work together to overcome the challenges we were giving them. The event transitioned perfectly into their keynote speaker that came in to speak to the group about change management. The participants all had a great time and brought up some fantastic points in our debrief about adjusting to change and why the change made various things difficult and how they handled them as a team. A great and educational event here in Nashua this morning.

Minute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity - Massachusetts 2014

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had a Minute to Win It in Westford, Massachusetts, which is about an hour west of Boston. Our event today was booked just 2 business days before the event day, so we had to move quickly to provide our client with custom themed games for their tennis themed Minute to Win It. To stick with their theme, our client, an athletics wear company, booked some outdoor tennis courts at a local racket club to play on. Participants were very surprised to learn that their post work barbecue and tennis hour was actually an organized, personalized game show. By the end of the game play time, teams were cheering for one another and helping each other with game strategy, which was just teamwork at its best. This Minute to Win It was short and sweet, but participants enjoyed themselves while it lasted.
