Crime Investigators - Corporate team Building Activity in Michigan

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did a Crime Investigators in Southfield, Michigan, just 20 minutes north of Detroit. We setup crime scenes today inside the lab building of our client’s company campus. We had teams collecting DNA, negotiating with the very needy confidential informant and analyzing and comparing imprints in the lab. It was a very detailed oriented group today and many teams actually did solve the crime. But of course, their creativity and their crime scene sketches and media briefings are what brought one team to victory to become our Crime Investigator champions today. It was a great CI with American Outback today.

Going Live - Corporate Team Building Activity in Seattle

Hi everyone, this is Emma from American Outback Adventures & Events.

I’m here with an update of an event that we just launched, this one is called Going Live. We ran this event in Seattle. It was a small group, there were only 2 teams, but that didn’t stop them from having a great time. Not only did they take it seriously, have fun, but they got to know each other in a whole new way. The first part of this event is competing in challenges. They have to earn points, challenge the other team, and figure out a lot of news related trivia. While doing this, they also have to be writing their news scripts. This part is the most fun and creative, I think, for the teams. Not only are they writing about the company but they’re getting to know each other during this time as well. So they write the news scripts about what’s going on currently within their team, and they also do a weather report, predicting what was gonna happen in their team’s future. Then they have 3 minutes to film this recording. At the end of the event, the teams get to watch each others' news recordings and we all vote on what recording wins. This event is a lot of fun and it ties in to your company’s goals for that quarter, year or whatever the meeting might be entailing.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in San Diego

Hey guys, this is James with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we were in sunny San Diego, California, specifically in the Gaslamp district which is a gorgeous area for one of our Amazing Chase events. We had a sales team from a chemical company and we put them on our course and we watched them as they were high-fiving and laughing all the way to the finish line. These guys had to use communication, they were running around finding clues, answering questions, thinking outside the box and they made it back to our finish line in time for happy hour at the Solamar.

Ladies and gentlemen, it was a great time and if you would like to plan a fantastic event for your corporate team, check us out online – americanoutback.net and contact my awesome team.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity

Hey everyone, it’s Emma with another American Outback Adventures & Events update.

So I just ran an Apprentice for 16 teams, there were 90 participants and these were creative people. They work in a creative field, even though might be doing marketing and sales, these people all had a lot of energy. Every one of them had great ideas for how to decorate these bikes and come up with really winning, creative advertising campaigns. Because we had so many teams, first we narrowed it down to the top 8, and then those teams presented their commercials and were eligible for the group voting. Of course, everyone’s favorite part of this event is always the charity that gets involved. This group was no different. They worked with a charity that was local, reached out to them and started building a connection to the community. This charity works with families of domestic violence, so they have kids from all walks of life that really could love and benefit from a bike. The group got to learn all about the charity at the event and figured out ways that they could help them in the future. It was a perfect day. Afterwards they could all head out to dinner and talk more about how it had gone for them.

Iron Chef - Corporate Team Building Activity in Hopkinsville

Hey everyone, it’s Michelle with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We have just finished Iron Chef for a group of steel workers in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. We completed the activity outside, it was a nice day, a little chilly, it was only about 50 degrees out but they powered through and had a great time grilling all sorts of creations. We had beef as our main protein so we had some good steaks and some creative desserts that came out of the group. They had a great time, like I said, outside at their warehouse, and the activity itself went off great. They had a, like I said, a fantastic time and really creative with their food items and their drinks and I saw some things that I have never seen on events before so I was pleasantly surprised by the creativity from the group.

Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Atlanta

American Outback Adventures & Events hosted a Crime Investigators team building event for an international client in Atlanta, Georgia.

This event brought together a team of people who worked together each day in different countries around the world, many of whom had never met in person before. Their goals were to build camaraderie among the team and focus on root cause analysis. This event required teams to locate five different crime scenes, collect evidence, document the scenes and ultimately solve the crime. There were five specific roles on each team and the participants each chose a role that best highlighted their skills. Working together in teams, the participants used close observation, creativity and critical thinking to determine who committed the crime. Real police officers happened to be having lunch at the hotel café and one team even interrogated them, thinking they were part of the event. Another team interacted with hotel guests, asked if they had committed a murder recently. Overall, the teams were successful in digging down to specific details, finding the motive and culprit, and solving the crime. And they had a blast along the way.

Hey everyone, it’s Michelle with another corporate event update from American Outback.

We have just finished a Minute to Win It activity in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a group of automation specialists. We had about 25 people, all high end VPs for the company. They got together and did a variety of really fun and exciting challenges. The group had a great time, high energy bunch, mostly men, they had a cocktail hour at the same time, so it was a great social activity to wrap up a day’s worth of conferences and meetings. The group got really into it, they had a great time, as I said, and were talking about it for hours afterwards and all day the next day.

Minute to Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Indianapolis

Hi there everyone, this is Emma with another American Outback Adventures & Events update.

Just finished up another one of our great Minute to Win Itevents, this one is such a high energy, fun event that this group, couldn’t help but have a great afternoon. The whole company came together, different departments and different levels, and got to work on the same playing field. It was commented by several people at the end that they had a wonderful time, because not only did were their co-workers doing the same challenges as them but also the entire management team was having a good time and right on the same playing field as everyone else. This team had a slightly customized event, not only did they do all of our standard challenges, but each team got to get really creative and come up with their own Minute to Win it challenge. At the end, each team got to present their challenge and have everyone compete at it. It was a lot of fun, these teams showed their creativity, their leadership skills and their communication.

Minute to Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Somerset, New Jersey

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did a Minute to Win It in Somerset, New Jersey. It was a later event, starting around 7 o’clock at night and the participants showed up a little late. There was only 20 of them, so with the group size and the time of day, we are a little concerned about enthusiasm. But boy, did they prove us wrong. They were loud and enthusiastic and all about the team spirit. Some of the fan favorites today were Stack Attack, Chip Flip, and of course, Elephant March. It was a fantastic Minute to Win It in Somerset, New Jersey today and I’m sure the group will come back for many more.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Washington, DC

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did an Amazing Chase in our nation’s capital, Washington, DC. Even though we had just received fresh snow and it was on the 30’s, this group was chomping at the bit to get their first clue and run out the door. Today’s group was a highly competitive, very A-type personality bunch. Although they were few, just 8 people, they were mighty. It was one of the most neck to neck, nail biting chases yet. These teams were constantly passing each other then falling behind, then finding short cuts past the Lincoln memorial, the Washington monument, and even the National Museum of History. It was, it was exhausting just to watch. In the end, one team rose to victory and all participants had on tired smiles. It was a fantastic day here in DC.

Getting To Know You - Corporate Team Building Activity in Chicago

Hey there everyone, it’s Emma, I’m here with another update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

We just finished running one of our new app events, this one is called Getting to Know You. This event features and focuses on teams of small groups, either pairs or individuals or small, maybe 3 people teams, getting to know other people in the company. So this event works great for groups that maybe are just meeting or just starting out, works great for colleges and universities and conferences. This company was bringing together some of their departments before they headed out for dinner, they ran this event. It had a safari theme, as you can tell from the photos, so that added a lot of fun to it. Everyone was dressed up and having a good time getting to know each other. They ran in the app, looking for descriptions of people and then asking different people if they’ve been to other countries, where they were born, who had been with the company longest and other items that people fit descriptions for, then they snapped their picture and submit it. Of course, the team with most points wins at the end of the event, but they all got something out of it.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Atlanta

Hi there, Shannon here with another corporate event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did an Apprentice in Atlanta, Georgia. The client today was getting together in Atlanta for their annual conference. They partake in team building every year and this year’s Apprentice had them wondering “how are we ever going to top this?” There were some custom elements to this Apprentice. Teams had to complete challenges to earn tickets to spend at the Apprentice shop instead of a monetary budget. These custom challenges were created to highlight this company’s product and spokespeople. There were 12 teams and each team received 3 minutes at the conclusion of the event to present their marketing campaign to the entire group. These were some of the most elaborate, energetic presentations I’ve ever seen. The company was fortunate enough to be able to get some children from a local charity to attend the end of the event to receive the bikes and talk about the amazing organization they attend. It was just the best way to end today’s highly competitive, very energetic event.
